Shadows & Dragons is a solo old-school tabletop game you play in your browser. You tell it what your party does, and an AI Game Master runs the scene: it describes the world, rolls the dice, makes the calls, and hears you out when you disagree.
The world is generated before you set foot in it. The region has factions working toward their own ends, each town has its troubles and somebody behind them, and each dungeon is hiding something. So when you start pulling at a thread, there's usually something on the other end.
The game keeps the books. Travel time, weather, food, rest, and wandering monsters are tracked by the game itself rather than made up on the spot, and every roll is shown. And it remembers. Invent an old friend in the city watch and he'll be on shift when you come back. Free a caged animal or start a side business, and people will still be talking about it days later.
There are no menus of choices. Crawl the wilds, work the city, delve, make friends and enemies, die. Free and still a work in progress; it works best on a laptop or desktop. For more, pick a topic below.
